Watched Tusk (2014), a body horror/dark comedy directed by Kevin Smith. After travelling to Canada to interview a peculiar old sailor named Howard (played by Michael Parks), a podcaster named Wallace (played by Justin Long) is drugged and held captive inside the sailor’s mansion. Howard is obsessed with walruses and performs surgery on Wallace to turn him into one. Wallace’s girlfriend and best friend team up with an eccentric detective (played by Johnny Depp) to try and find him while he endures torture and psychological terror. That was a weird movie. Entertaining but very odd as you’re disgusted by the surgeries while also laughing at the situation. Michael Parks and Johnny Depp steal the show. 6/10 #nodereviews
