I’ve been pushing more into AI-led debugging and I’ve been pretty impressed. Give it the tools it needs to iterate and it will keep going.
One project was for work and I was having I2C bus issues. I hooked up a Saleae Logic 8 to the I2C bus, a USB serial adapter, and told OpenCode about both. It took the reins are figured out the issue. It knew where the DTS file was and it knew how to compile it and write to the image and did all that.
Another I’ve started using is describing a problem I’m having with a system and let it go to town. It does tech support way quicker than I can and often finds things that might have taken me a while to get to, but it does it in short order.
Maybe that’s not the kind of debugging you’re talking about, but I do find giving access to tools makes a big difference in the speed and outcome.
