I literally had a dream last week about having this amazing experience at Burger King where they gave my wife and I a comped meal and burgers to bring home to the family, along with a warm and inviting dining room.
McDonald's has shifted to this institutionalized version of its former self, where there is nowhere comfortable to sit with your family. No booths, no customer service beyond the touchscreens. There might be an opportunity for one of these chains to go pro-customer service and really take some market away from the big one.
I would love to see it.
