To a programmer, a text editor is a sacred thing. It's a tool we spend all day in. We _LIVE_ in our text editors.

It is a deeply personal choice, not something that should ever be dictated by some external person.

Programmer's text editors are special tools. You can spend weeks / months / years learning them. Your muscle memory and flash brain responses tune into the editor's features, and a good editor helps you evolve new ways of coding.

You become bound to it.
