New to contributing to open source on GitHub? Start with these terms:

Repo: The project's files and history.
Issue: A place to report a bug, suggest an idea, or discuss work.
Fork: Your own copy of a repo on GitHub.
Branch: A place to work on changes separately.
Commit: A saved set of changes.
PR (pull request): A proposal to merge your changes into the project.
Review: Feedback on proposed changes.
Merge: Bringing approved changes into a branch.

The easiest way to start contributing to software projects is to spot bugs or unexpected behavior, then work with your clanker to write a clear report explaining what you expected, what happened, and how to reproduce it.

Don’t have a GitHub account yet? Ask your clanker to walk you through setting one up.
