* delay or precent mass adoption of bitcoin
* divide bitcoin developers, node runners, and users
* do not allow bitcoin to become peer to peer digital cash that is cheap to send back and fourth anonymously without a 3rd party
I think this was largely successful but I'm not mad when number go up.
