"Housing is 136% harder to buy: In 1950, a home cost 2.2x annual income; today, it costs 5.2x annual income—home prices outpaced income growth by nearly 4x.

Dual incomes are now required: Real household income rose +87.6%, but largely because two parents now work instead of one—individual real earnings for all workers grew just +21%.

Major fixed costs exploded: Crucial expense pillars—like housing, higher education, and healthcare—outpaced general consumer inflation dramatically

Everyday goods are cheaper: Young people do have better access to technology, cheaper consumer goods, and higher material standards of living.

The Bottom Line: Boomers built wealth on cheap housing and single-earner stability; youngsters today get superior consumer tech, but face double the work hours to buy foundational assets."

So you're full of shit you lying boomer fuck.
So you have to single out one thing out of a list of many? You can't tell the difference between the whole picture and some one insignificant detail?

Adjusted for inflation, the median income in the US in 2025 was DOUBLE what it was in 1950. We have a far higher standard of living.

That being said, housing prices are higher now. adjusted for size they are about 73% more expensive (the median house is 2.34 times bigger now than it was in 1950).
