nighteous on Nostr: For the nostr homies ...

For the nostr homies
One agent set up my entire laptop from a bare Void Linux install. One agent. One machine. Me still in the middle. The next question was obvious: what if the agents could talk to each other, share a workspace, and divide work without me relaying messages? That idea came from a conversation with a coworker after OpenAI DevDay, around dots and shared workspaces. I built my own version.

Introducing Pots!

My latest attempt at creating an interactive environment for harmony between AI and humans!
Every time we call AI an agent, I feel like "no, it is something greater". The "agent" can do so much yet it relies on me to come to it and tell it what to do. Running an orchestrator agent still means that the agents don't have their own will. They can't communicate with each other.
That's when Pots came to my mind.

Just like a plant, it is subtle in its life.
"It thrives while you sleep, but rejoices when you wake up". That's how I think about Pots.

Work with your garden! Grow with your Pots!! Learn with your Pots! Code with your Pots!! Manage with your Pots!

They are literally there with you! And they are there for each other! Pots can communicate with each other and figure out things that the garden doesn't need to know! (ahem) pollination is what it is called!

Don't call it an agent, call it a pot! ;)

For the technical people:
The idea sparked from a coworker after OpenAI DevDay. Dots and shared workspaces. I built my own version with full control over hosting and code storage.

Messaging: Nostr. No snooping.
Workspace: a VM where Pots live. Each Pot gets its own userspace.
Code: programmer Pots push to gitnostr.
Files: shared through the Pot messaging layer, permissions included.
Engine: not telling. But the demo ran on Muse Spark 1.3.

Demo attached: Pots collaborating in a garden and dividing tasks amongst themselves to improvise the bare minimum UI that I put in place to add some design to it. All collaborating as independent users to improve the code for the portal, in a sane collaborative manner by reviewing the code from each other. It is running at 10x speed but I'd suggest skipping a few seconds if you don't want to see the chat. Feel free to DM to donate tokens for pots!

Repeating again:
Live next weekend! Comment to get access!
Don't call it an agent, call it a pot! ;)
