Status: I'm in a space where I understand rationale with splitting from Core chain Bitcoin, while accepting that the Bip110 chain will likely not succeed. In his case, the idea of supporting a hard fork comes from his loss of trust in the original idea for Bitcoin's decentralization of monetary power. This idea is what brings us to a critical question of what monetary sovereignty truly is.

I understand what means in his acceptance that future attempts after Bip110 to fight a miner activated soft fork will not have the same level of support, likely continuing the fraying splinter from the original BTC.

This leads me to who expressed an agreement with the philosophy of Bip 110, but at the point that resistance becomes a hard-fork, he no longer sees validity in the idea.
________
My point: To borrow the words of Thomas Jefferson, "The tree of liberty must refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

Bitcoin's sovereignty is not a guaranteed attribute with the masses idle. As attempts to increase control and confiscate Bitcoin are in progress (i.e. Coldcard, Trezor user data hack), plebs need to accept that we will lose friends to various psychological operations and custody attacks along the way.

Just remember, that the pendulum swings both ways: Crypto exchanges have wallet private keys, Etfs have shareholders, and governments have taxes to collect. Monetary sovereignty is non-negotiable and even the most ruthless billionaires will recognize that their portfolios will not save them from having their wealth confiscated with unrealized capital gains, value added, and exit taxes.

Bitcoin is Bitcoin. Keep fighting.
