I have a phrase I use all the time. Rabbit hole 😄 Monero is definitely a bottomless rabbit hole for me. I feel like I have only stepped through the entrance so far. There is so much going on under the surface that I could probably spend months exploring it and still only understand a small part. One thing I managed to understand well enough was RandomX. That led me to build a small RandomX Mining Manager. My CPU is not really powerful enough to make RandomX mining practical. But making money from mining was never the goal anyway. I started with a much simpler question. Can I learn enough about Monero to actually build something around it? In the end I managed to build a small working project and that already felt like progress to me. So I am definitely not done with Monero. FCMP++ is another thing I want to understand better when I go deeper. Your finance suggestion is interesting too. That might actually be another rabbit hole worth adding to my list. I am looking for exactly this kind of thing. Something where learning can eventually turn into building something real.
