# NOSTR MOMENT
Ok this one may actually be somewhat excusable. I just found out about a 4 months old DM while randomly fiddling with nostrvault (npub1fa0…0z97)
I have met the sender through a Stacker News post so we had no nostr connection beforehand, and whatever client they used sent the message using the old NIP-04 standard.
Now one might say that is WoT working as intended but how come every other client didn’t get the message?
Some clients have a tab for unknown senders, and out of these, some have another layer of classification so they require an extra step to see all dm requests. But regardless of how deep I dug, all I could find there was actual spam, not said message.
