German Savings Banks Association (DSGV) announces that the first wave of its customers can now trade cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP, Solana (SOL), and Polygon (MATIC), directly through their existing banking applications. This development, facilitated by DekaBank and with cryptocurrency custody provided in partnership with Börse Stuttgart, is set to expand significantly. The DSGV anticipates an additional 30 to 40 financial institutions will integrate the service monthly, with plans to onboard a majority of interested Savings Banks by the first half of 2027.
