I once travelled for a few weeks and returned to find a rat had messed up my sofa. I killed it, and then told a friend about it. But she was a rat person, and even at one time kept them as pets. She was not amused. I found 10 deleted messages from her on whatsapp, and I can only imagine they were very angry and emotional. Perhaps she figured out that not everyone is a fan of Ratatouille, and seeing I had to buy a new sofa.... We remain friends.
