i think both are correct at the same time. In terms of scale there are many order of magnitude differences between the number of people leveraging Nostr and many of the platforms out there. This difference in degree in itself constitutes a difference in kind.

As a result, atleast in this phase, the only option you have is to actively engage, in order to get some interaction, because neither happenstance nor algo will get you there.

I have started to include this heads up into my messaging, because some people might simply not be aware.

What does honestly confuse me is why some people appear to be smug about it, mocking Nostr's current numbers (whatever they may be, who knows). Who do they think they are dunking on, except themselves?
