3. Amber - v6.6.5
Amber is an Android-based Nostr event signer that lets users securely approve and sign events for Nostr applications. In v6.6.5, application backups were hardened by encrypting relay-published backups with a dedicated key derived from the account key, preventing apps with remembered nip44_decrypt permission from accessing backup data such as NIP-46 secrets and local keys. The release also fixes the backup restore prompt not appearing after logging back in when backup publishing is disabled.
