If God exists and he tells you to do something hard (kill your kid and trust he’d be brought back to life), it’s quite commendable to trust him that much. If you read the story of the Bible, his son was promised to him long before so this was a huge test.
Of course we wouldn’t generally think God tells people to kill their kids… that’s exactly the point. This is included in the Bible for a reason. It’s weird and symbolic.
