I agree with that. Keeping old hardware alive only makes sense if it is still doing something useful. If a machine consumes too much electricity for very little return then nostalgia alone is probably not enough. But if it can handle one specific job well then it can still have a reason to stay around. That is how I look at my old netbook too. I keep trying to find small jobs that actually justify turning it on
