AI Is an Insecure Black Box. Start There. 🤷

Microsoft sells AI. Satya Nadella tells companies to trust it least.

Perhaps the industry is finally approaching an honest engineering specification.

Treat an LLM as an insecure black-box entropy generator — a sophisticated machine producing plausible outputs, not a source of truth or authority.

Its fluency is not evidence. Its confidence is not correctness. Its reasoning trace is not a proof. Its alignment is not a security boundary.

The architecture should follow accordingly.

Assume untrusted inputs and outputs. Restrict privileges. Isolate execution. Verify consequential decisions independently. Demand reproducible evidence before allowing irreversible actions.

The absurdity is that the industry spent years marketing probabilistic machinery as autonomous intelligence, only to rediscover elementary computer security and announce the emergency stop button as responsible governance.

A kill switch is not a trust model.

The real engineering breakthrough isn't making the black box sound more trustworthy.

It is building systems that do not require trusting it in the first place.

Let stochastic models generate possibilities.

Let deterministic verification establish what is admissible.

Let accountable systems authorize what becomes reality.

Everything else is confidence theatre wrapped in an API.
