For a while now I have been thinking of making a timeline on the history of anarchy, decentralisation...
But it's very hard to visualize. Empires and states with their own territory and symbols are easy. How would you do non-state territories?
How do you do levels of decentralisation within states?
How do you do the Holy Roman Empire with it's interlocking levels of authority? Or the italian city states? Or the Greek poleis with their alliance systems?
