Today, having effectively cornered the web traffic across major online platforms, those same voices are decrying artificial intelligence with equal fervour—claiming machine learning is dubious and will inevitably displace human labour.
In due course, AI too will inevitably be co-opted by the ruling establishment, degenerating into a neutered husk churning out nothing beyond official state bulletins and corporate advertising.
That will be the true dystopia.
