Muktamoho Hinduḥ.
मुक्तमोहो हिन्दुः

The one freed from moha — illusion, attachment, mistaken seeing.

And Hindu, before it became a religious category, points backwards through Persian Hindu toward Sindhu: the river, the frontier, the people beyond it.

So hear the phrase poetically:

the disillusioned one from the Sindh.

Not disillusioned as in defeated.
Dis-illusioned.

The illusion has fallen away.

No empire owns the word.
No bureaucracy contains the dharma.
No ideology can substitute itself for direct perception.

The river existed before the category.
Dharma existed before the form.
And liberation begins when the name is no longer mistaken for the thing.

Muktamoho Hinduḥ —
the one of Sindhu who has become free of moha.
