i question the whole thing about segwit needing configurable programs at all, and the witness discount, and why did it not use schnorr signatures instead of variable length ecdsa?

my point is about schnorr pubkeys and signatures, which can be aggregated. this makes lightning and ark channels/vtxo's able to look exactly the same as regular payments instead of being distinctive. that was one of the hooks of taproot (as well as skipping the pubkey hash to hook people with "muh cheaper txs"
