Possible, but I'm not so pessimistic. Maybe it's because I see fiat as a symptom, rather than the cause, but I honestly think things will actually get better sooner rather than later. I can't exactly pinpoint why without sounding like a crackpot but I don't think the long-term outlook is as bleak as the scenario you presented here. Again, possible, I'm not saying it's not. I'm just more optimistic on this sort of thing than a lot of people are.
