My experience so far, creating a new Twitter account in 2026: account got search banned almost immediately. At first I wasn’t sure why. When I posted, it seemed like only people who followed me could see it. I was told to wait 3 days, until the search ban went away. I logged back in 3 days later (as my vpn changed location), my account was immediately locked down. Had to verify my account 5 times in 20mins because my vpn kept reconnecting in a new location. Had to setup a security key even to login. Now the account has a “temporary flag that may limit its reach”. The app is nice but the user experience is horrible if you’re privacy focused.
We need nostr guys 😂
