Cyphermunk House emerged from Waste Paper, the debut exhibition from artist and Cyphermunk House instigator ₽sy𝑓er (nprofile…65cl). His ‘museum of 21st century collapse’ and rebirth, planted Bloomsbury’s first orange seeds growing into today’s network of Cyphermunk educators, creatives and open source advocates.
A single coin was required for passage to the opening night of #WastePaper (pictured) and the “petrochemical, patriarchal, primaeval” pieces were sold for #Bitcoin only.
"The formally accepted notes and coins are mnemonically arranged, a taxonomy of the obsolete is proposed, and the artist tempts the law. From this exploration a new mythology of optimistic possibility, of markets, of city states globally networked is birthed"
With continued demand for the exhibition and extended access to the space Cyphermunk House took shape evolving as a ‘pop up gallery to teach people about hard money through art.” Within days of bringing the exhibition down we were running out first Bitcoin 101. The path was set.
