yeah, i have the same thoughts and i have the beginnings of a possible edge-AI system (it can already do translation) and i also want to build a physical computer, and the computer will be able to teach you how to do everything required to build the computer. from minerals and raw materials, including how to fabricate every thing required to do it. plus then, obviously the memory of the machine is copied over into the new hardware and voila.

it's my big long horizon project for now. and includes setting up a coworking/maker space for people to collab on making it happen, in nice quiet Naryn in Kyrgyzstan :)
