I’m afraid to admit sometimes that I hate how dumb LLMs are because more and more people around me are accepting that this latest model or whatever is all they’d ever need and I’m fucking astonished. I do wonder if these are the smartest models we’ll ever get, and if I’ll end up being the COBOL programmer of yester-decade. If demand is dropping, and the hype beast isn’t enough, then… are we really just going to end up with midwit busybodybots who think they’re smarter than humans but really aren’t?
