Today I think of my friend who survived kidney failure, years of dialysis and then a life-saving organ transplant, got long COVID, forced back into coding from management to pay the bills, got a job doing software development for a small dysfunctional company that sold physical products, struggled and leaned heavily on LLM’s to help keep up, and just got fired after a year.
Nobody is exempt from life’s struggles but JFC can the world give this person a break.
