Ill have to research when I get back, but I beleive it's an option (that's enabled by passkey impls) that requires unique (or possibly globally unique) authenticator identifiers. That was the big privacy hubub that came out over it. Then big tech silently rolled it out.
If *Passkey _now_ is _always_ implemented with no unique identifiers (key ids are sometimes just sha1 cert hash) that I have no complaint other than UX.
