Orlando is in the center of Florida so there is lots of cheap land here and also it is elevated 100 feet from the Ocean so it doesn't get flooded by storm surge like Tampa and other coastal cities ...
in Tampa etc everybody fights for scraps of land next to the beach just to be flooded by storm surge while in Orlando you get nice big lot and generally don't need to worry about flooding ...
and in Miami you get a condo on the 20th floor with one parking space if you're lucky
