It’s been five days and I am yet to hear from a single client dev that they want or are interested in this. My take is that this is one thing users ask for, but nobody actually really wants or cares about it. Good thing I asked before syncing more time into it 😅

So, I did make it, and it works surprisingly well, better than I expected, or other current services I tried. Over 110K Nostr native GIFs in there. For now I only implemented it in my project, and plan to have an API that will be available for clients to consume. The set of GIFs is fixed for now, but I will continue to ingest new ones as they get uploaded to Nostr.build free public pool. You can play with it now at https://zap.observer/streams/naddr1qvzqqqrkvupzph6zuqlgnsaj5pdgjkmupnjxurquuyz33yndekwu4r3q8ey56fyuqqxhgam9de68jmmwv5knydph5qyapz or any other stream you wish to listen/watch.
