The government is not there to help you. People think it is, but they don’t give a fuck about you.
It’s like this literally everywhere.
This is the only country in the entire world that women or anyone could fall and break ther ass and walk into any ER and get treatment whether they had insurance or not.
I was in in Jakarta about 20 years ago and got winged by a passing bus mirror. He was going probably 45 and it hit my shoulder fracturing my clavicle in two spots and I was concussed. The hospital wouldn’t even look at me until they’d verified That i could pay. I asked my driver (who was local) what would’ve happened to me if I couldn’t pay and he just shrugged and said “maybe you’d die”
