When I tried crochet with the regular little yarn I got sooooo frustrated. Mad respect for people like Yarnlady 🧶 (nprofile…c5gs) that can manage that! I got tshirt yarn and it was a game changer. Great for my brain because the bigness of it makes it seem like you're making something faster, and it's also a lot more beginner friendly because it's big and you can visually grasp what's going on/next steps.
And yes, the repurposing of old clothes is truly incredibly satisfying! Donating is great, but making usable things and keeping hold of those memories or monetary shits feels really great.
I totally encourage you to try one more time!! See about getting a bigger hook than the one I was using if you're going to make your own "yarn" from tshirts.
