China's Belt and Road Initiative may already include a new phase entailing the construction of a similar bridge - tunnel link between the Americas and Russia / Europe along the lines of the completed Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge link. This would provide the missing link in the Bering Sea. It could complement the proposed Bunnel (Bering or Boring Tunnel) rather than replacing it, since two links are better than one.
