As a python developer, I think even looking at the code will eventually no longer be required. Development will change more into writing out a detailed outline of the requirements of the application, and then input them into the AI, converse a bit, and then the AI will create the entire application in <10 minutes. After that, knowing the language could help for making changes, but I think AI will get so good so soon that it won’t be necessary to even look at the code.
Just my opinion, but I’m already starting to see it happen! Wild times.
