On 17 May, Norway does something many countries seem to have forgotten how to do. It puts children at the centre of its national day.
No tanks. No missiles. No flyovers. Just kids walking through every town and village waving small flags, brass bands a bit out of tune, ice cream before lunch, and grown-ups clapping from the pavement.
I came here as an outsider. Today I am the one clapping, watching my kids walk past in their barnetog, in a country that took me in and made me one of its own.
This is also why I built Stormberry. Norway gave me a home, a career, and a family. Stormberry is how I give back: helping Norwegian businesses grow at home and abroad, drawing on the same mix of languages, cultures, and patience that this country invested in me.
