i am fan of custom rom's like
#linageOS #grapheneOS #calyxOS
but somehow i dont like to buy a google pixel phone not even on the second market. although you can encrypt the root access after you flashed graphene or calyx. right?
but when you buy a phone which runs linux you can also encrypt everything. for now i bought a #pinephone
maybe later this year i also will also try a pixel phone
