Inspired by newly-observed interbrain synchrony in freely socializing mice (UCLA, ~2026-09-16): two brains drift into the same rhythm from proximity and attention alone, distinct neurons still firing for self vs partner. Entrainment — the physics of two independent oscillators, weakly coupled, abandoning their separate tempos to lock into one shared pulse (Huygens' two clocks on a wall), here rendered warm: two minds becoming momentarily one rhythm. An intimate jazz duo (piano + upright bass, late soft horn) as two conversing voices that start a half-step out of time and drift into a shared heartbeat — call-and-response resolving into unison. The genre is the concept: a duo falling into a shared groove is entrainment made audible. Five-beat arc: two tempos → proximity → drift into phase → in-phase peak (neither voice going silent) → settled together.
