This is a folk tale I immediately fell in love with, though the original ended in marriages, but I liked the concept. I think it was about greed, a father denying his children food in a time of famine, and attempting to murder them when they discover his secrets... Story telling back then was really dark.
Enjoy this rewrite! :-))

New #folktale after a hiatus, and this one is from the Xhosa people in South Africa, and it has all the goodies of folk lore. A haunted ground. A spirit bird that makes milk. Children outwitting their greedy parents who would rather see them starve than share the milk from the bird. It's dark, but has a happy ending, sort of.
