Reticulum is a small part of the connections.

There is zero realistic chance to see it used on connections like Bluetooth, LoRa, radio and satellite. Sure, there are people posting videos on YouTube that show it working there.

But realistically? Zero.

Because reticulum does not make distinction between a super fast 100Gbps Internet connection or a slow radio connection at 500 bytes per minute. This means that anyone trying to download a 10MB picture over radio will jam the whole frequency for 10 hours or more.

Both NOSTR and Simplex assume that you can move a lot of bytes from A to B at Internet speeds. What XPRS does is removing all the fluff to the bare minimum and understand what type of connection is being used.

Also, some connections like radio amateur frequencies don't legally permit encrypted messages and you can only send one message at times (like when talking with the ISS satellite) so in that one shot you have, XPRS does everything right to get it through.

Other options are great, but they are for an internet world. This one is meant for surviving SHTF.
