Trump had many pictures w/ Epstein including videos, was listed on the flight logs multiple times, was quoted in an interview with the New York magazine where Trump said, “I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”, and Epstein called Trump his “closest friend” on tape.
Your scenario doesn’t apply.

Yeah, I always thought what folks meant by list was what you could piece together with other information but apparently lots of folks didn’t mean this because Trump has been on the flight logs which have been known for years. So I think folks meant an actual client list.

I was honestly always skeptical there was an actual list. Now I’m pretty sure there is an actual one and Trump is on it.

I strongly believe Epstein did kill himself. But I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that the guards were paid (or otherwise incentivized) to disappear so could do it. Because he *was* on suicide watch.

If Donald Trump’s goal was to become The Bitcoin President by single-handedly inducing The Fed to engage in the mother of all prints sending bitcoin to the moon much sooner than would have otherwise happened he’s doing well! He should keep at it!

In a world where we have destroyed the trust our allies placed in us, a global trustless money with no trusted third parties that can settled in minutes becomes more valuable not less valuable. In this way, I guess Trump was the #Bitcoin president.

Other admins used it for less sensitive stuff like logistics for meetings, not for war planning.
It wouldn’t surprise me if these are not the government issued devices. Btw, if a civil servant (vs a political appointee) w/ a security clearance did this it would be a crime and they’d be immediately fired. (Rightfully so.)
It’s crazy. But not shocking with these clowns.

It’s more than narrative though.
It’s a natural outcome of a system that includes lots of passive flows including index funds & algorithmic trading, volatility traders, & funds with mandates that prevent them from buying spot BTC or even MSTR stock.
Ultimately, BTC should be the very catalyst to unwind these stupid anti-free and sane market issues. But until they do, it should continue.
Then the very end state of MSTR is probably still worth more than the underlying BTC but some smaller mNAV like 1.1-1.3x. Why would it still be worth more than the underlying BTC? Because when you’re the largest public holder of BTC on a bitcoin standard, you’re going to be able to have opportunities to deploy it profitably *in BTC* terms.
(Btw, AI is not real thinking. It will just spit out what you want or some combination of whatever information it has processed.)

2025-02-09 17:11:20 UTC

- reply

Yes, but you usually don’t have bitcoin at the other end. And managing Bitcoin’s volatility/the transition to the a bitcoin standard is probably the hardest thing we’re going to encounter on the way. This does it for you.
I actually think if you’re rich enough this isn’t a good product for you. Just stack bitcoin/MSTR because the volatility isn’t a real issue for you. You can easily live off sats even in a Bitcoin bear market.

@npub1s5y…6q7z & @npub1k7v…c04l: what are your thoughts about my thoughts (👆) on STRK?

2025-02-06 18:37:07 UTC

STRK may be the greatest vehicle I’ve ever seen for normies to easily manage the transition from our fiat system to a world on a bitcoin standard, *especially* if they are retired.
Hell it could help me.
Imagine someone handed me $1.5M today and that was all the assets I had. I could buy STRK for $85.25 netting me 17,595 shares. But let’s call it 17,590 as you want to buy it in buckets of 10 because of the convert. That means I’m generating $140,720 pre-tax & $126,623 post tax.
You could retire on that if you wanted. And if you’re smart, you’re spending less than you make and putting the excess into BTC or more STRK or something.
As you head into the future though, we get closer and closer to being on a bitcoin standard. By that point it should be easy to convert.
If you converted it all, it would be 1,759 shares of MSTR common stock. The *current* amount of Bitcoin that represents is 2.87482. It will obviously be more than that when you convert.
What other vehicle exists like this? It’s insane.

I think you’re thinking of the legislation & I agree that would be huge if that happens. If it’s just the EO, it’s $21 billion to buy BTC. Meaningful, sure. But I don’t think that alone creates the situation we need to go to $1M.

I personally don’t think that’s enough. But I mostly agree with @npub1y4a…cg7c. I think at a *minimum* it requires three things. 1) The Strategic Bitcoin Reserve *legislation* is passed, 2) other sovereigns start stacking as a response, & 3) the mag 7 and other large cap comps w/ cash on their balance sheet who make FCF start allocating bitcoin.

FWIW, this is what my portfolio looks like.
I only trade in my retirement accounts and the only trading I do is between the bitcoin ETFs and Bitcoin equities.
At some point, I plan on taking some of the amounts in the retirement accounts fully off the table and rolling it into spot BTC in an IRA (likely with the Unchained). The amounts I will “take off the table” will come from the amounts in the ETFs.
I do *not* trade outside of my tax advantaged accounts.
These days, with my free cash flow, I basically only buy spot BTC outside of my retirement accounts.
I’ve stopped contributing to my retirement accounts altogether & the reason it’s such a large share of my portfolio in both BTC & USD terms is it’s 1) where I had a lot of starting capital when I decided to go all in to bitcoin and 2) I’ve successfully traded it into both more USD and more BTC via proxies.
(Note: for the call options, for the BTC calc, I’m treating it as if I sold them all and rolled them directly into BTC, not into MSTR. It would be smaller percentage if I treated as if I bought MSTR with it. In truth, I’ll probably split it between the two when I do sell them.)

For bitcoiners one thing stands out. They added a conversion tool that includes currency *but* excludes bitcoin.
We should make our voices known that we want bitcoin to be included in the currency convert tool.

I think Bitcoin, in the long term, will positively impact politics & shrink DC.
But until then politics matters.
It impacts your life & it impacts the lives of others often in ways that have lifelong consequences. Dismissing it completely is foolish.
Don’t believe me? I'll leave it to @RobertACaro who writes the following in chapter one of his new book "Working" (midway through I'll substitute "political power" w/ "politics” in brackets):
————————————————
People are always asking me why I chose Robert Moses and Lyndon Johnson to write about. Well, I must say I never thought of my books as stories of Moses or Johnson. I never had the slightest interest in writing the life of a great man. From the very start I thought of writing biographies as a means of illuminating the times of the men I was writing about and the great forces that molded those times-particularly the force that is political power.
Why political power? Because [politics] shapes all of our lives. It shapes your life in little ways that you might not even think about. For example, when you're driving up the Triborough (now Robert F. Kennedy) Bridge in Manhattan in New York, you may notice that the bridge comes down across the East River in Queens opposite 100th Street. So why do you have to drive all the way up to 125th Street to cross it, and then basically drive back, which adds almost three totally unnecessary miles to every Journey across the bridge?
Well, the reason is political power. In 1934, Robert Moses was trying to get the Triborough Bridge built, and he couldn't because there wasn't enough public or political support for the project. William Randolph Hurst, the publisher of three influential newspapers in New York, owned a block of tenements on 125th Street. Before the Depression, the tenements had been profitable, but now poor people didn't have jobs, and couldn't pay their rent. Hearst was losing money on the buildings and he wanted the city to take them off his hands by condemning them for some project. Robert Moses saw that the project could be the Triborough Bridge, and that's why the bridge entrance is at 125th Street. That's a small way in which [politics] affects your life. But there are large ways, too.
Every time a young man or woman goes to college on a federal education bill passed by Lyndon Johnson, that's [politics]. Every time an elderly man or woman, or an impoverished man or woman of any age, gets a doctor's bill or a hospital bill and sees that it's been paid by Medicare or Medicaid, that's [politics]. Every time a black man or woman is able to walk into a voting booth in the South because of Lyndon Johnson's Voting Rights Act, that's [politics]. And so, unfortunately, is a young man-58,000 young American men-dying a needless death in Vietnam. That's [politics]. It affects your life in all sorts of ways. My books are an attempt to analyze and explain that power.

There’s a currency display setting in the settings. But I don’t think that changes how much you can use w/ mobile pay. I’m pretty sure the limit is a fiat limit. When I toggled between USD, EUR, and GBP, it was always 200 fiat units. I don’t see how to make it a bitcoin/sats specific limitation. (I’m on iOS. So maybe it’s different on android?)
I kinda wonder if it was built with the plan to just add lightning to it.
And yes, I’d like if it I could add a few more fingerprints. (5 would be great instead of 3.)

I’m wondering how the Mobile Pay function actually works.
Is it working with Cash App and making a credit & then settling up on chain sometime later?
Otherwise I can’t see why 1) there should be a $200 limit and 2) why there should be an ability to send $1 (who should do this on chain? Nobody!), and 3) why it’s (only) in dollars and not #Bitcoin or Sats.
I don’t want a bunch of small UXTOs. And I don’t think we should be suggesting low information bitcoiners should do so either.
