Spent the last 4 days out at our off grid cabin in the woods. It was fantastic. We got a ton of work done. Added a railing and gate to our covered porch steps, added a gate to our front deck, knocked out framing around one of the trusses that will be hidden in a wall.
Because of the railings and gates our we can have both door open and the dogs can enjoy the porch and deck too.
Home for 4 days then back out for another 3 days stay. Cwn
Cant wait to move there full time.

Good Morning Nostr. Happy Friday.
Finishing up a couple cups of med/light Brazilian before heading out for the day.
My wife is off so I am using her help for a lumber run to Lowes. Brought our trailer home from the cabin site yesterday to head straight there.
Will be picking up the lumber to finish the framing and also built the 2 porch gates.
We are planning to stay out there for a 4 day weekend next week, so hopefully will make a ton of progress and also get to relax a bit in the woods.
It will be our first stay in this building on the property.

Good Morning Nostr.
Another great morning of Med/Light Brazilian.
Working on a solar upgrade design project for my first consulting client. Should be a fun project. Wish he was closer and I could help with the physical install too.
Meeting with another client a little later this afternoon then working on some solar calculator worksheets for my website.
Hopefully getting some marbles identified and listed before end of day also.
Going to be a busy one but I try to pack as much in on non cabin work days as I can.
Make it a great day.

GM Nostr.
Finishing up some med/light Brazilian blend this morning then headed out to our cabin build.
Getting some material lists finished and getting back to clearing trees for the solar field.
A week long visit from the in-laws produced awesome progress on the interior of the cabin. We were able to get all the walls framed except the skeleton framing around the trusses. FIL was a huge help at the right time. Great to have in laws I get along with and that want to help on projects when they come and visit once a year.
Make it a great day.

GM Maria. Our temps broke early last week and it was in the high 70s/low 80s. It was absolutely fantastic. Popping back up into the low 90s for yhe next couple days but then back to the 70s. Hopefully its a long fall after this late start to it.

After 906 episodes and nearly five years of doing The LOTS Project Morning Show, I’ve decided to take a break until at least the first of the year.
The show started feeling more like something I had to do than something I wanted to do. That’s usually a pretty good sign that it’s time to step back and get my head straight.
I explain the decision in this episode, along with a huge week of cabin progress and the questionable decision to spend $325 on somewhere between 4,000 and 6,000 marbles.
If you’ve watched, listened, commented, shared an episode, or just quietly followed along over the years—thank you. I don’t know exactly what comes next, but I know I need this break.

I have used Starlink for over 4 yrs. Love it. We traveled in pur RV with it and now it is still the best option here in Wsst TN for our situation.
Our bill is their highest rate since we still carry the unlisted roam plan.
They are currently running a second month free promo through a referral link, and I get $100 service credit if you stay 60 days or something. I would recommend it without the referral regardless.
I wrote a review. Https://thelostproject.com/starlink

This week: designing solar systems around the limitations you actually have instead of the imaginary perfect system, why this Tennessee summer has absolutely murdered cabin progress, and why I ended up cooling my phone in a refrigerator just to finish filming.
Then 9/11 turned 25 and social media did what social media does.
Every theory came back out. Demolitions. Building 7. Art students. Pentagon questions. Insurance. Government involvement. All of it.
My position is apparently becoming increasingly rare online:
I don’t know.
There are plenty of strange questions worth asking. That doesn’t mean I’m going to pretend I know the entire story.
We also get into whether Mitch McConnell actually reappears, four years of Starlink, some free Bitcoin, and a local Facebook witch hunt over “suspicious people” that turned out to be a couple looking for their lost puppy at 3 AM.
Living Outside The System. Same weird world, different Monday.

I built a permanent home for The LOTS Project solar series:
https://thelotsproject.com/solar/
The DIY Solar Hub currently includes electrical basics, reading solar-panel labels, and series versus parallel wiring—but it’s designed to grow with the real systems I’m building.
Coming additions will include used-panel testing, sizing and design, batteries, inverters, tools, equipment reviews, troubleshooting, field measurements and complete system builds.
No mystery. No generic shopping list. Just what I’m learning, testing, building and using—with the limitations, mistakes and actual results included.
