Large BCH holder behaviour over the last 7 days is neutral to mixed. Heavy selling by some mid-tier addresses is largely offset by aggressive new and existing accumulation elsewhere. Whale activity remains elevated with both distribution and strong buying present.
Timeframe: September 22–23, 2026. Reference: BitInfoCharts top 100 richest addresses.

Apologies, a red herring. This would not have prevented the Coldcard attack.
Grok explains: “Because the source code is open, the flaw could be identified (Coinkite has suggested AI may have helped surface it). Attackers could then generate candidate seeds offline, derive the corresponding addresses, scan the blockchain for funded ones matching the weak-seed pattern, and sweep the funds. No phishing, malware, physical access, or interaction with the user’s device was required — the seeds were simply weak enough to brute-force/enumerate.”

Welcome!
Grok mentions the following with regard BCH and Nigeria: “ Nigeria ranks among the world’s top countries for general cryptocurrency adoption (often #2–#6 in Chainalysis indices), with tens of billions in annual crypto value received and millions of users (around 10%+ of the population owning crypto). This is driven by economic factors like naira [official local currency] volatility, inflation, remittances, and limited traditional banking access.”
So great to have you here and hope Nigeria 🇳🇬 increases its BCH uptake and gains benefit from it. The best crypto available in my opinion.

I find Objectivism logically most aligned with life having its concepts based on reason. Most of the time Christianity and Objectivism agree, but not always. The split between Church and State, the laws against impinging on another’s human rights, allow both to coexist peacefully.
Great thought provoking post as always. Cheers.

The Objectivist stance is as follows:
“Marriage as contract: At its core, marriage involves contractual elements (e.g., property, inheritance, decision-making rights). Government can legitimately enforce these private agreements as it does other contracts, acting as a neutral arbiter to resolve disputes. However, it should not license, define, subsidize, or regulate who may enter such relationships.”
“Objectivists prioritize the moral and personal value of marriage as a chosen union of values, while viewing legal formalities as optional private contracts rather than state-granted privileges.”
Essentially, similar to the Anarcho-Libertarian view, government should stay out of the direct marriage business. However, government still has a role to enforce any private contracts where child custody and child support would land.
Trust this is closer to your position, if not completely.

2026-07-02 08:53:26 UTC

New Zealand 🇳🇿 centric post.
Dr Muriel Newman elucidates the emergence of race-based laws in New Zealand 🇳🇿 and their potential to stifle productivity and fuel corruption.
This is a critical issue ahead of the 7 November 2026 election. Reversing this trend is essential to halt the institutionalisation of racial preferences in law and restore equal opportunity as the standard — along with strong protection of universal human rights.
Including racial preferences in law wastes valuable time and administrative effort, distracts from real economic priorities, and undermines success based on merit.

A key business risk is currency mismatch. It is always best to earn currency in the same currency as expenses. Major corporations have the same issue in regard for example earning USD yet having expenses in a local currency.
Suggestions:
- Convert the fraction of the BCH sale expected required for local currency expenses at the time of sale.
- Seek suppliers that accept BCH, therein currency matching to sales earnings.
As a positive, the fact you accept BCH at your shop may draw completely new customers that wish to use their BCH. Market your business on this platform.
Good luck and support your use of the best global currency ever developed.

Concur. If BCH is really solving problems then demand should increase. The latest upgrade makes it more competitive against ETH however must admit SOL has the lead in speed. That said think BCH is fast enough for day to day retail transactions.
A major hurdle in New Zealand is tax. Any transaction is taxed making it costly. People are advocating a de-minimis tax threshold which would held, a political decision.
Also for holding BCH is taxed like gold bullion, being similar to a capital gain at one’s income tax threshold, further impacting the reason to hold coins directly.

It’s a good practice. When FTX went bankrupt it sent many other exchanges around the world into bankruptcy. Anyone with crypto on FTX or associated exchanges lost most if not all of it.
Withdrawing crypto to your own wallet removes this counterparty risk.
Best to only use exchanges to trade and then withdraw funds.
