You could try https://github.com/dcadenas/nostrherd , basically a way of creating bots but for any nip29 relay. You can use it on top of Buzz as it's a nip 29 too

Nice, I’ll take a closer look at that one too. I may be able to borrow some ideas from it.
I haven’t used ouija for a big mesh yet. Mostly I use it as lightweight orchestration for sessions that are already running and already have useful context.
The useful part is the ad-hoc handoff: I can be driving one session, then ask another session on my desktop, laptop, or another repo to help with a parallel thread.
I also saw agentnoise yesterday from @nprofile…dnhq and had the same thought: there is probably overlap here so I'll try to check it during the weekend

With Claude Code programmatic usage moving into a separate credit bucket, I think terminal-native agent coordination gets more interesting.
So I’m sharing ouija: https://github.com/dcadenas/ouija
ouija is plumbing between already-running coding sessions: Claude Code, opencode, or both.
No `claude -p`. No Agent SDK. Just normal terminal sessions in tmux.
It shines for ad-hoc debugging: one session is deep in repo A, another already has context in repo B, and suddenly they need to talk.
Same machine: tmux. Cross-machine: Nostr.
The point is simple: let the sessions you already have talk to each other, even across machines.

Just published divine-signer, a small library that gives your app one NostrSigner interface across five auth methods: nsec, NIP-07 extensions, NIP-46 bunker, nostrconnect, and OAuth. drop it in and let users pick how they sign.

Got the Marmot version working in just a few hours. What a time to be alive.
Not sure if it was so easy because of LLMs or marmot-ts being a hell of a library. Probably both.

Built a NIP-17 DM app to test the https://login.divine.video OAuth flow.

It's only 1-1 though, so now I'm wondering if a marmot-ts fork is doable.

This was more useful than I thought it was going to be:
"From all the text you know about me from our conversation history, can you analyze from my typing errors which are the keys or key combinations that I find most difficult and where I make the most errors?"

Gave https://undocumented.nostrkinds.info a visual upgrade ❤️ and made kind detection smarter, accepted kinds are now properly filtered out.

All I did was restarting it and it looks fine now but seems it didn't keep the last month numbers, so it's counting all over, must be a bug somewhere, time to give it some love and update it a little bit

Got a few raw picks from a follow-similarity filter (spammer-pruned via PageRank):

Might be some decent leads in there. Still tuning it—need to add some content-based magic next.

Something I’ve been noticing when vibe-coding a topic I don’t fully get yet: I make a ton of mistakes. Then I end up reading a bunch of code, adding logs everywhere, and writing even more. It feels chaotic, but weirdly effective.
Some people say this newer way of programming is making us worse developers… but is it? Are we worse off now that we don’t write in assembly anymore? Or maybe we’re just learning at a different layer of abstraction.
The theory usually comes later anyway—and it sticks better once you’ve wrestled with the mess.
Reminds me of a book @nprofile…s2s2 once recommended: https://craftandvision.com/products/start-ugly

hey @nprofile…478g I'm the guy behind it's development. Can you tell me more specifically how did you try to make it open? If you set the group as open, users should be auto-invited on posts. Maybe there's a spec for this that I missed? I will set it for you for the moment.

Which IP is the one misbehaving? At nos.social, we have a couple of scrapers. One respects rate limits, though we might need to adjust the backoff settings. The other one is more likely to be causing the issue, as we haven’t had time to implement rate-limiting there yet. This could be a good wake-up call for us to prioritize that.

What I don’t understand is how to get the “Reads, all pubkeys” type of stat. I mean the writes can be obtained from a firehose sub but I don’t get how to read a count of who reads from a relay. Specially a relay you don’t control

2024-10-18 17:36:51 UTC

Hey @npub1xdt…ntxy how does nostr.band count events in the `Events per relays` graph? A firehose subscription of all posted stuff?

Forgot to mention, we’re also using your strfry policies, so thanks for that! We made a tweak for banning IPs based on rate-limit abuse, which worked well against certain types of spam. I can create a PR for upstream at some point. https://github.com/planetary-social/strfry-policies/blob/nos-changes/src/policies/rate-limit-policy.ts

Nice! I agree wot and some pow seem to be the most effective solutions (seeing captcha as one form of it?). Right now the app shows a feed based on friends of friends but I think the replies are not covered by that. But I may be wrong here and @npub16zs…92l7 knows better about the iOS internals.
We do have backend services yes, in fact we have now a server to calculate followers that is internally using neo4j and I think it has potential to extend the classical friend of friends Wot to a page rank based solution.
https://github.com/planetary-social/nos-followers
Pagerank could extend it to more people than the one level friend of friends. We are calculating it currently but we are not using it for the moment
