It's as simple as "watch this product and let me know when it is cheaper". (Flights, hotels etc)
As for Shosho, to build what's there so far would have been $1m+, and instead I've bootstrapped it.

Hi TJ. My robot suggests CloudFlare is erroring on the stream with some reason related to encoding.
"Set the encoder's keyframe interval to 2 seconds. In OBS that's Settings → Output → Keyframe Interval = 2, rather than 0/auto"
I hope this helps.

Would any OBS streamers like to try a bleeding edge feature and give feedback?
- Schedule your show in advance
- It publishes your event to Nostr ahead of time
- Shosho, Zap Observer and others show it
- You can share a link to it before you're live
- Connect it to your OBS
- Your OBS streams to that same event

Let's recap
Inflation is high
So the central bank raises interest rates
Which is supposed to suppress demand
And so disinflate prices
But
The private sector is dead
The government killed it with lockdowns in 20/21 and it has never recovered
All job growth is by the state
And the state will not curtail spending in face of higher rates, in fact
They will spend more to fund the interest
And they will spend more again with welfare to support people who are struggling with higher rates
In fact as rates increase, and their spending increases, thus inflation will increase
So the central bank will raise interest rates
Again
Ad infinitum
Oh dear

Start with higher level principles, then patterns, then cascade down to individual elements.
If you try to start with individual elements you'll wonder what is the correct answer, and get stuck because their can't be one in isolation.
Allow right answers to fall out of overarching principles by aiming for internal consistency with those principles.
Or, ask @nprofile…42y4

The number one thing I wish I knew before building Nostr native apps on JS.
Schnorr signature verification is expensive on JS.
Having a global accumulator is smart, but if you use the default Nostr tools configuration of verifying every event on the JS thread as it arrives, you will kill your app performance and it will start to become non responsive.
Move schnorr signature verification to native code, not JS. Move hashing too while you're at it.
Verify only new events. Cache all existing events and skip verification on cache.
Yes, run a global accumulator but don't verify anything at all until called.
...
I delayed the new Shosho app release with zaps and the rest only because I could not get on top of performance. But, this cracked it. Fable built test harness, instrumentation, all of the above, and the result is ~40x faster performance.
Current test built is feeling good, finally!
TLDR: Nostr apps don't need to feel sluggish.

The purpose of hyperscaling was to create a monopoly so that you can command excess margins.
Now every man and this dog can build a competing product with zero capex.
I just got an email from the biggest live streaming e-commerce brand in the west saying they're reducing their margins.
$1.5bn in capital raised and last valued at $20bn.
Reducing their margins.

Why do they do this, do you think? To make the new models look good by comparison? To push you up to a more expensive pricing tier? It's not user friendly as if I've used a certain model before I think I know what to expect, but nope.

I blew through my fable too quickly this week, and I just had the misfortune of wasting a day using GPT 5.6. They've made this thing thick as two short planks.

Gave my agent a Bitcoin wallet, it built Bitcoin functionality into Shosho, then made real transactions with the wallets as end to end tests. Worked!

Also recommend paseo.sh which is a UI/orchestrator that can sit on top of open code or anything else. I use it over Tailscale in much the same way. Consistent UX on every device phone/desktop/tablet etc

We customised the zap stream backend to use CloudFlare stream. CF is very fast and stable for streaming, has recording, replays and instant social clipping all built in.
I watched your replay and it recorded flawlessly, no butter, no lag. Everything looks good from a capture perspective. I guess that most viewers would have had a good viewing experience.
I don't have an easy explanation for why you struggled to view it.
Thanks for trying it out!

Hi 👋 let me see if I can help. Are you using your own RTMP with the Shosho app, or the website? Are you streaming from your mobile phone camera or from OBS or some other encoder?

Ok I have added that to clips on the shosho.live website (for now, and then also in the next app release). Have a go and see if that works for you.

Cool creators toolkit. @npub1l5h…hdrf livestreamed their practice from Shosho App, then used our Instant Clips feature to cut this social clip from their replay.
Are you creating great stuff? We have the tools!

I wondered it, and I still wonder it.

Hi @nprofile…xe9u I think I have built our two-way Nostr-Owncast chat bridge.
It will be automated. Whenever you publish your stream to Nostr, it will check for your Owncast server and connect. Thereafter, every message on either platform will appear on both platforms.
... Assuming it works. I will deploy it and watch it on Monday. Keen to hear how it works for you

Another day another new workflow for the #nostr.
Automatically react to Nostr notes that fit whatever criteria, hashtags or content. E.g. 👋 to #introductions. Built with n8n and Nostrobots.
