Good point 👍

Linky 26.10.3 is out. The main thing in it is profile links.
Every Linky user now has a page at linky.fit/p/<name> if you claimed a linky.fit lightning address, or linky.fit/p/<npub> otherwise. The Profile tab has a Share profile button. On a phone it opens the share sheet, on desktop it copies the link.
When someone opens your link and taps Open in Linky, you're saved as their contact and the chat opens with "Hi 👋" already typed. One tap and you hear from them. If they don't have Linky yet, they create an account first and then land in that chat. The QR code on your Profile holds the same link now, so any camera app opens it.
I like this one because nobody has to look at an npub anymore.
Also new: log into websites with your Nostr identity through nostrconnect:// links, experimental Keryx announcements in Settings, and a contact saved twice stays in one chat.

If the app is running on background and is possible to send the payment, it's done automatically. If for whatever reason it's not possible (not enough funds, or the app is not running), you get notification to open the app

Actually the button says ‘show transactions’. We might rise it to the wallet but at least for now I would like to keep wallet page clean.

Recurring payments are kind of hidden.. At least for now.
You can find them in the transaction history - accessible from wallet page.
Test it out and let us know if you find it useful.

Version 26.6.8 🚀
* I made cashu melt to main mint as an opt-in. It will only be offered when you're about to make a payment and don't have enough funds in any specific mint.
* Showing the profile when tilting the phone is now opt-in as well. If you want this feature, you'll need to enable it first.
* Links in messages are now clickable, and website previews are displayed too — just like in other messaging apps.
* Cleanup of evolu tables — transactions and tokens.
* Verified Lightning addresses are now marked in profiles.
* Fixed returning to the wallet after manually entering a transaction.
Please let me know if you run into any issues 🙏

2026-06-17 11:18:28 UTC

Version 26.6.7 👤
* Thanks to everyone who got their own lightning address in Linky. 🙏 You can now also get NIP-05 verification in your profile edit. This means that other nostr apps will also see that you're verified by linky.fit
* When adding a new contact, it no longer has to be just that long npub string - you can now use the NIP-05 identifier, for example hynek@linky.fit. And if it ends with @linky.fit, you don't even need to type that part...
* When you click on a contact's photo, you copy their npub. You can then send it to someone in a message for easier network building.
* When making payments, I've added the option for manual entry—lightning address, lightning invoice, cashu request, ... and now you can also enter a NIP-05 contact.
* It also searches through your contacts as you type during payment. Please test how it works for you. 🔥
* And some more fixes and new yet unknown bugs as always 😀

Improved web https://linky.fit/

2026-05-31 05:54:36 UTC

Version 26.5.8 introduces lightning addresses ending with @linky.fit 🚀
* The main benefit is that you can now receive tokens from your primary mint (until now, tokens received through this feature always came from Minibits, even if you were using different mint).
* New accounts will get this address suffix automatically, but you can simply change it to @npub.cash and it should work as well.
* For existing accounts, just open your profile settings and click the refresh button to switch to the Linky version.
* I've also added a paid option to set a custom address — for example, I personally use hynek@linky.fit.
* Only one custom address can be purchased per npub.
* Both your generated address and your custom address will work for receiving payments.

Let me know if you have any questions, ideas, or feedback about this 🫡

2026-05-28 11:26:35 UTC

Version 26.5.7
* Small fix for the contacts scroll — it should stutter less now
* Increased the font size when typing a message
* Added the ability to set a custom status in profile editing
* Avatar refresh — until now, your contacts’ avatars were loaded only once; now the app checks from time to time if they’ve changed
* Added the ability to archive contacts (and filter archived ones)
* Added the ability to block contacts

2026-05-22 07:09:45 UTC

Improved UI of the messages
* Sent messages are highlighted in green, received messages in gray
* Token amounts now display their unit
* If you share a contact in a message, it's now visually represented as well — clicking it adds that contact
* I also fixed owner rotation and incorrect message display when a message comes from a deleted contact
* If you pay to a Lightning address that's in your contacts, it's now correctly linked to that contact in the transaction history as well

On the website for cash withdrawal, I set the main action as "Pick up in Linky." However, if you click on "Other options," it will also offer you a QR code (cashu), or you can enter an LN address where the funds should be withdrawn to.

After clicking on "submit," the scan continues to open (you can scan various things – for example, lnurl, lightning address, a specific invoice, or even a cashu token, contact, etc.).
I have now added an option to select a photo from your gallery at the bottom – this allows you to load a QR code in this way, which is useful when moving from one app to another. Personally, I would prefer copy/paste, but I've seen a lot of people do it this way.
More interesting is the option to emit a token – you enter the amount that will be reserved from your funds, then you can show someone the QR code, send it to a specific contact, or even send it via Signal or any messenger – even to someone who doesn't have any bitcoin app.

Update released 🚀
* Improved copy on welcome screen
* The items in “Getting Started” are now bullet points
* I removed cashu words from the settings - it wasn’t working properly. If there’s interest in the future, I’ll implement it again
* The scan feature is larger
* Added the option to input data into scanning - for example an LN invoice or npub
* The scanner now opens immediately when adding a contact
* I set “Wallet” as the main page
* I wasn’t able to implement URI linking… I think a native app will be needed first
* I fixed repeated loading of already received messages

You can switch to fiat if you are not ready for sats. I chose a somewhat unconventional approach. Two different units are not shown at the same time. And no decimals. If you want USD, you don’t see sats, and vice versa. In reality, everything is of course still in sats. Give it a try. I think it works quite nicely.
I also adjusted the limit setting for payments without confirmation. You can now enter your own amount as well, always in your selected currency.
It’s now also possible to scan LNURL (even without a predefined amount).
At the same time, if a contact can be extracted from it, the app assigns it so you know who you’re paying. If you don’t have that contact saved yet, the app will offer to save it to your contacts.

Thanks for the feedback.
Which remote signer and extension do you use?
And what are the benefits?

New profile now gets generated name, avatar, and lightning address.
- User can always get back to these default values
- Also improved fetching from nostr

Hello World,
New app for personal contact management is here:
* Linky creates a new account with a single click
* Immediately generates a Lightning address for you
* When you receive bitcoin to this address, it appears in your wallet
* You can instantly pay your contacts
* Everything is updated in real time across all devices where you log in with the same account
* If your contact uses Nostr, you can also exchange encrypted messages with them
* At the same time, you won’t see any spam — communication intentionally requires consciously adding each other as contacts first
* All data is independent of the app, so you can switch to a copy of it or another app using the same protocols at any time and everything will keep working

You can check it out here: https://linky-weld.vercel.app/
