Rumble is terrible. Live streamers can now inject advertisements into their live stream. I use ad blockers when I'm browsing rumble because it's full of annoying ads, exactly like YouTube.
Nostr doesn't have ads yet but I suspect someone will try.

Nostrich is NosTwitter.
They've openly said they want to become a public company someday, and there's big money backing the project. That alone makes me question where they're heading.
We all know what happens when big corporate money gets involved. Everything becomes about profits, collecting user data, keeping investors happy, and eventually controlling what people see.
I wouldn't be surprised if NosTwitter ends up going down the exact same road as Twitter, where the people with the most money get the most influence.
I actually liked Nostrich when it first came out, but now it looks exactly like Twitter. It's ugly. Where's the creativity? Did they hire a bunch of ex-Twitter developers or something?
Anyway, I'm sticking with Amethyst.

"One sat at a time, Mom. Now take out the garbage!" 😂

2026-10-22 05:20:45 UTC

I need to find a way to get rich so I can finally move out of my parent's house. Then I'll let them move in with me, just so I can say, "NO, MOM! YOU take out the garbage!" 😂

2026-10-22 05:05:19 UTC

I checked my Backblaze account, and I've only used about 100 MB of storage from all my uploads over the past 6 months.
As long as I don't upload videos, I probably won't go over the 10 GB free storage limit anytime soon.
At my current rate of usage, I'm good for another 49.5 years! 😂

2026-10-22 04:52:48 UTC

Slayer and I are in the same situation. We both would love to constantly post videos but because both of us are too poor to afford video hosting, we can't post videos. Backblaze gives me 10GB of free storage after that I have to pay. Once I reach 10GB I'm not sure what I will do.
I tried hosting my own videos on a server but playback is too slow because you need some CDN stuff.
But me and slayer have big plans this upcoming year. We're going to work hard so we can be rich rich rich!

LFL (Let's Fo Live) is basically what you've built on your /livestream page, but with more features.
It's a live streaming page with a Nostr video player and Nostr chat. When you go live, you send your viewers to your own domain, where they can watch your stream and interact with you. Comments from other Nostr clients also show up directly on your website.
I'll see if I can get you an LFL instance so you can try it out. If you like it, you can eventually move it to your own website

I just tell JB, but since you and him don't get along then you can just go on the LFL npub and write replies there, or go on there site and they have different places to talk to them, or tell me. 10 a year is a lot! I don't have a nice job like you. No one will hire me except my mom.
If you try to upload videos on your own server it will be slow because you need CDN. Nostr build gives you CDN and so does Backblaze. That's why video creators aren't popular on nostr. It's too expensive and YouTube hosts your videos for free.

2026-10-22 01:00:10 UTC

- reply

Maybe you should request nostr build on LFL. I don't have a nostr build account because I dont have that much money at the moment, that's why I never upload videos. People who upload videos are rich!

Our instances are hosted. We don't need to worry about all that. We can just stream stream stream all day!
I think that's only for users who host their own instances because I had to add some numbers and letters to my domain once time. You don't have a domain so you don't need to worry about that.
I can't upload videos either because LFL doesn't want to host our videos. I use backblaze and now I can upload videos. Backblaze has 10GB of data. What do you use for uploading videos? I only upload pictures for me live steams nothing else really. I should make a video of backblaze for you.

I would suggest not using @nprofile…wfft for now. They are transitioning everyone to self custody and the self custody wallet is having a lot of issues. I haven't a hard time getting or sending zaps. The custody wallet is now disabled in sending zaps while they force everyone to transition.
Sometimes, my balance goes to zero and then after a while it comes backs. Don't use it for streaming, for some reason you can't get zaps. It used to be the best wallet for many years, now it's unstable.
The are doing a major transition and hopefully it's back to being the best but for now stay away until the transition is done. Use rizful wallet for now.

ha cool page! I'm number 92 on the list. I'm going to have to start zapping bigger amounts to move up on the list.
Is this calculated from zapping the amethyst npub? It says I zapped 57,807 sats. I actually don't remember zapping that much. I was surprised.

Why do many good projects on nostr come to an end? It makes me sad.
Here is a song we can listen to and cry together.

What happened to plebs app website which was a YouTube style nostr website. It shutdown and the domain is for sale.
I really liked that website. Is anyone running another plebs app? I remember a few other people did to. I dunno why the dev shutdown the website. It was the only good YouTube style nostr website. I found the GitHub repository. I even ran one for a while.

I didn't know @nprofile…jl00 had a podcast called @nprofile…wjnl with tons of videos already until slayer boosted one of his videos.
It's too bad Nostr doesn't have a YouTube type website, where we can watch his podcasts. He doesn't seem to have a YouTube or Rumble channel so there's no where for me to search though his videos and watch them.

why do you have so many podcasts pinned to your nostr profile. I had to scroll down a lot to see your latest notes. Why don't you have a website? Where can we find your podcast instead of scrolling down the feed. Your podcast look interesting. 🤔

There's seems to be a lot of people on nostr who's native language isn't English but they write notes and replies in English. Are they living a double life or something? Do they have a second nostr in their native language too? It's very interesting, I can't imagine doing that. It sounds hard.

Wallet of Satoshi is discontinuing their custody wallet and is transferring everyone to self custody.
I was waiting until they forced me to do it and looks like that time has come because I can't send sats to my custody wallet anymore. I have to move my funds over to self-custody.
