I was down with pneumonia last week but I’m back, and this week’s News Block is a big one.
Bunker mode, tampered devices, a gold hire at Treasury, and Luke Gromen picks a fight with digital credit: https://youtu.be/R5jM6Uxix5Y?is=QRzMeGIdZCWC24vM

The Fed raised rates last month on a jobs report that has since been revised into a loss, and the 10-year yield is at a 24-year high even though the Treasury is buying back $6 billion of its own bonds at a time to hold it down…yikes.
Will we see 10% mortgages soon?
This week's News Block covers the jobs report and bond market, plus two stories that got less attention than they deserved:
- Hester Peirce leaving the SEC after nearly nine years with no replacement nominated
- A Bitwise survey in which not one of fifteen major institutions sold Bitcoin during a 50 percent drawdown, and one sovereign wealth fund funded part of its position by selling gold.

You don’t hate capitalism. You hate crony capitalism.
Tax the Rich and socialism aren’t the solution.

Our first in-person show with Simon Dixon, and after watching a lot of his interviews, I think this is the most complete version of his thesis he's given.
We got into why he believes the chaos everyone's feeling is by design, why UBI is coming, and what would have to happen for him to sell every Bitcoin he owns.
You can't win unless you understand the Game of Money: https://youtu.be/svGunuwPYGc?is=Tw_b0Q1K9Xt7qVK9

Don't miss my brand new show with Jordi Visser.
Jordi says he sees Bitcoin differently than anyone he knows, and that includes Saylor. He agrees it will serve as the collateral of the system, but he disagrees about what gets it there.
We get into the latest AI warnings, whether the data center spending ends the way 2008 did, what actually starts Bitcoin's next bull run, and why he thinks worrying is a waste of energy.

Tether is becoming a much bigger player in Bitcoin than I think a lot of people realize.
It backed Elektron into one of the largest mining operations in the world, owns the vast majority of XXI, and is now helping shape what XXI becomes after Jack Mallers.
I asked new CEO Rapha Zagury the questions Bitcoiners actually care about: what Tether is building, whether its growing influence should worry Bitcoiners, what happened at Ocean, and where all of this is headed.
Let me know what you think: https://youtu.be/ulRpd51Bddw?is=RvBkL7Ax7sUphfYx

BitGo built its name custodying Bitcoin for institutions and ETFs.
Now it’s opening that same platform to individuals.
I sat down with CEO Mike Belshe to talk about why they made the shift, the 100 Bitcoin he’s dared anyone to steal and how seriously Bitcoiners should take the quantum computing threat.

Like so many of you, I’ve been having a very difficult time processing the senseless act of evil and violence that took Charlie Kirk’s life.
Charlie was a man of deep faith, and I take comfort in my belief that his soul is now experiencing eternal peace with his Creator. What has weighed most heavily on my heart all week is not just the loss of his inspiring voice, but thinking about his wife Erika and her unimaginable pain, and their two beloved children – who are far too young to understand why their father won’t be coming home. Seeing Erika grieving beside his casket and hearing that their daughter has been asking “where is daddy?” has gutted me.
A coward robbed them of life’s most precious and priceless gifts: growing old together, watching their children grow, and building memories as a family.
I don’t often speak on politics publicly because things have become so divided and frankly because I have been disenchanted by both parties throughout my life. I’ve chosen to stay in my lane because the one thing that has given me hope in this broken world is Bitcoin. Not because it belongs to one side or the other, but because I believe it is something that we can all eventually get behind together.
What truly unites us are deeper truths: freedom, connection, love, faith, and hope. Charlie understood this.
I firmly believe the deeper source of our division, and the despair we see everywhere today, is a symptom of the corruption of our money. When money is monopolized for the benefit of a select few and stripped of its integrity, everything in society begins to erode – our morals, our responsibility, our long-term vision, even our sense of purpose. That is the world we live in today, where too many young people have lost hope.
And yet Charlie rose in that moment. He awakened a movement of young people who were handed a mountain of debt, broken institutions, and a world stripped of trust, and he inspired them to believe in a better future. That’s extraordinary.
Charlie embodied so much of what our community aspires to: courage, truth, responsibility. And I have long believed that he was poised to become one of Bitcoin’s strongest and most eloquent advocates.
There are two things you cannot kill: a soul, and an idea. I pray deeply for Charlie’s soul, and I know the ideas he championed will live on in the hearts of millions.
I pray for his family, his friends, his community, and his followers. He left behind a lasting and important legacy. And because of him, I believe more people will be moved to find purpose and peacefully fight for their freedoms, in whatever ways they can. God bless Charlie.
As a dear friend so eloquently put it: Charlie will now do his work from above, and it’s up to us to take it from here.

I had the joy of an early screening of the new Bitcoin documentary UNBANKED, co-produced and co-directed by my dear friend Lauren Sieckmann…and WOW!!!
This stunning film takes you across continents to meet people whose lives are being transformed by Bitcoin. From communities facing crushing inflation to individuals cut off from the traditional banking system, UNBANKED captures real stories of hope, resilience, and financial freedom.
It’s visually breathtaking, emotionally powerful, and a reminder of why Bitcoin matters far beyond charts and headlines. Uplifting. Inspiring. Unforgettable.
If you care about the future of money and human freedom, don’t miss this.
