and many of us do not live in towns either and have no
choice but to order online. All Inverness has is tourist
shit, vape shops, Turkish barbers, charity shops and
empty units by the dozen too. Between the Council
and assorted wanks in London, who own commercial
properties, but charge so much for rent that nobody
can afford to make use of them anyway that hasn't
helped either. I'd like to see decent high streets, but
for rural people it is neither here nor there on a daily
basis regarding their needs, and here the over priced

"For Alex, thankfully, her wonderful husband noticed that she really looked unwell, rapidly called the alarm, got an ambulance, and brought her to A&E. "If he had delayed those actions even for another hour, she may not be here today." However, Foster adds that it is also important to spot signs of sepsis, external in patients where it might not be as obvious. "It's so important that we remain vigilant," she says. "The subtle things being: is somebody falling? Are they confused? Are they breathing fast? Are they not themselves? Are they profoundly weak?" In order to recognise the need for impartiality, teachers must first recognise that there are two sides to an argument.

From next year, even primary school children will be taught about mis- and disinformation in newly introduced citizenship lessons. Yet these are highly disputed and fundamentally political concepts. Getting children to identify ‘disinformation’ does not mean they will undertake rigorous, open-ended analysis grounded in subject knowledge; rather, it means teachers have decided in advance what views and so on are to be classified as ‘disinformation’, and pupils must arrive at the same conclusions. In the same legislation that the Government is putting forward to halt the expansion for mental illnesses, it will also be proposing an expansion in the law to allow individuals with a progressive, incurable illness to consent in advance to ending their life, in case they lose the ability to consent at a later date. This is extremely worrying. While these advance requests, as they are known, are commonplace in the medical world, they generally relate to receiving treatment — not suicide. In one of the few places where they are currently legal for euthanasia, the Netherlands, there have been countless horror stories. In one case, a woman with dementia was euthanised after making an advance request, despite wanting to live and being confused why her life was being ended at the time of her euthanasia. She was subsequently held down and euthanised by force.

In Canada, the pendulum of assisted death seems to have reached its peak, and has finally begun to swing back the other way. Some of its most zealous adherents, however, are hanging on to the pendulum for dear life, hoping to hold it where it is. In attempting to keep everyone happy, the Canadian Government is threatening the lives of the people it was elected to represent, while continuing to adopt policies that most reasonable people view as incoherent and unsafe. The only safe and practical course of action is to begin the repeal of all of the expansions to the assisted suicide and euthanasia law in Canada, the leniencies of which are the root cause of most of the tragedies that have occurred under the MAID regime. The correct decision is to admit that mistakes were made, and to throw the programme into reverse.
