Hey, there are currently two ways how AI is detected on podtunes:

1. Information from the feed itself. But only few artists use proper tagging.

2. Automatic detection via SH Labs API. Because of API limits only 500 tracks per day can be checked. Currently around 40% of the catalog has been scanned so far and still a lot ahead! That's why you will come across AI music not being tagged at the moment. Please be patient! 😅

Nearly 25% of the whole v4v music catalog at podtunes has already been checked for AI music. The results are directly shown in the app for better transparency. So, it will take some time to reach 100% because of the API limitations. Thumbs up for SH Labs for giving me access to their service!

That would be the ultimate analog experience! 😂 But you're right, the overall sound character of an analog production is different, although you compress this into a mp3 file at the end.

I had the same issue with the tracks on my "Time Revisited, Pt. 1 + 2" album which actually combines two separate EPs I released on Spotify etc. Now, the pubdate for the tracks of course differs in this album, because the songs from Pt. 1 were released in 2018 and Pt. 2 in 2020. Although I added the podcast:episode tag most (all?) players ignore this and start to list the songs from Pt. 2 first. This does not make sense to me. Now with podtunes I finally have the correct track listing out there! 🤓😅

Yes, the audio files are pulled directly from the original source. I double checked this now! 😅 So if you experience any compression etc. this might be the case if you stream your audio over Bluetooth or maybe even some digital manipulation in your device's audio settings is active?

It's meant to be easy to use without too much technical details about Lightning payments etc. so that people outside of our V4V bubble can explore the Valueverse.

As a first step, I deliberately chose not to require users to register. Just browse the catalog, listen and enjoy.

I will post more details in the next days. Feel free to check out this current built and please keep an eye on Matt Finlay (nprofile…l5nl) 's podcast "V4V Music Spotlight" where I also talk about the web player in the upcoming episode!

Enjoy and spread the link with your normie friends! 😅
